Black Bean Dip

I'm always in search of another dip other than hummus. FOUND IT!!!  

Black Bean Dip 

Ingredients: 
2 14 oz cans black beans drained and rinsed
4 cloves garlic 
1 tsp cumin 
1/8 tsp pink salt 
1/4 cup cilantro 
2 tsp fresh lime juice 

Directions: 
1. Take a small sauce pan and heat on medium heat. Add black beans, garlic, cumin and salt. Simmer for 5-10 minutes stirring frequently. 
2. Add cilantro and lime juice and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. If it gets too dry add 1 tsp water. Continuing to stir frequently. 
3. Add bean mixture to a blender, I used my @thenutribullet and blended for 10 seconds. Push sides down/shake down. Blend again for 10-20 seconds. 
4. Add to bowl, top with some hot sauce and cilantro. ENJOY! Serve with veggies or healthy chips. 

If you are following the 21 day fix meal plan this would count as a yellow depending how much you serve yourself.

  1. Yummy! I love bean dip! I bet a shot of cayenne would be good too, if you like your bean dip spicy!
