Homemade Hamburger Helper

Looking for a healthier version of Hamburger Helper that's KID & Hubby approved? You're in the right place!!

No joke, my kids don't eat much in general. If their food contains as anything they usually turn their nose up at it. While we were eating my husband said, 'Do you hear that? SILENCE!' I lol'ed!

I hope you love it as much as our family did!

Ingredients:

8oz whole grain or gluten free pasta
2 T grass fed butter or coconut oil
4 T whole wheat flour
2 cups unsweetened almond milk
2.5 sharp cheddar cheese (can use mozzarella or Gouda too)
1 pound extra lean ground beef
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
1) Cook pasta according to package directions.
2) Melt butter in medium sauce pan over medium heat, add flour and whisk for 1 min. Be careful not to let it burn.
3) Slowly add almond milk. Best if add 1/2 cup at a time. Whisk till combined and no lumps.
4) Once combined add cheese. Again, best if add 1/2 cup at a time. Mix till combined before adding next cup of cheese.
5) After all cheese is mixed add in ground beef. Stir till combined. Stir in cooked noodles. Serve and enjoy!
