Rule #1:Never EVER EVER miss a Monday!
Before I became a Beachbody coach I had every excuse in the book. Especially on MONDAYS! It was hard to find the motivation to exercise after the weekend. I would make excuses as to why I could skip my workout that day. That the next day I would workout extra long/hard.
No MORE peeps!!! #nevermissamonday
Rule #2: keep it simple
After having 3 kids I have realized, none of the 'details' that I stressed over mattered. It's ok to put extra love and effort into events and such that matter to you. But I believe, only if you have time and it doesn't cause unnecessary stress. There's no sense in worrying and losing sleep over these 'details.' At the end of the day, you're really the only one who cares. So do it for you. No one else.
Health and fitness are the same. Many people say to me 'I don't cook.' Or 'I don't even know where to begin.' Keep it simple. It's really that easy. Find something you like that is healthy and repeat. Take the thought out of it. A meal doesn't care if it is pretty or extravagant. Neither does your body.
Rule #3: start small.
Don't overwhelm yourself. Even 1 small change is change. Better to start small then never start at all.
Once you master the new small change. Add another new change, but don't forget your last change. Say bye bye to that old choice.
Think if you made 1 small change each week. In 1 month you would have made 4 changes. In 3 months, you would have made 12 small changes. Small changes over time amount to bigger changes in the end.
Rule #4: Love
As the Beatles say, "All you need is love."
Embrace those you love who bring joy and positivity to your life. Make distance with those who emotionally drain you and don't better your life.
Love others and you will receive love back.
Rule #5: Get your Friends and Family involved!!
We all have friends and family. Whether it's one person you depend on or 100, get them involved!
When you're trying to live a healthier happier life you need support. Ask your husband to workout with you. Or ask your friend to be your accountability partner. Get your kids involved in a jump rope match on the driveway.
The possibilities are endless!
